Zonny

Zonny paints portraits. Faces held still, staring straight at you or somewhere far past you.

The work moves between careful and wild: a face built up with patience, then broken open with fast, gestural strokes, scratched lines, drips and bands of pure colour. Some paintings carry calligraphy across the skin like a mask made of words. Others burn in a single colour.

Every painting on this site is an original. There is only one of each, and each is signed.
